El Gallo Frito is a Vancouver fried chicken restaurant born from a decade in the kitchen and one decision: open something we'd want to eat ourselves. Our take on West Coast comfort food is built on chef-driven craft, locally-sourced ingredients, and an obsessive ratio of batter to chicken.

We opened in Downtown Vancouver in 2021 with a recipe we'd been quietly perfecting for years. Today we run two locations across Vancouver and serve the city's best hand-battered chicken — luxurious, unpretentious, and never frozen.
